Jersey Shore Fall Festivals 2026: The Beach-Town Bucket List

The Shore’s biggest music weekend plants a two-day festival right on the Asbury Park beach and boardwalk, pairing national headliners with a pro surf competition, art installations, and curated boardwalk eats. Grant Avenue turns into a three-day Italian street party, complete with a folkloric performance group brought in from Italy and a Columbus Day Parade down the Boulevard on Sunday at 1 p.m. — floats, bands, antique cars and all. Free, family-friendly, and unmistakably Jersey.

Ocean City’s marquee fall event draws tens of thousands for a mile-long block party along Asbury Avenue (5th to 14th) with 400-plus crafters, food vendors, and live bands, capped by a Saturday-night fireworks-and-drone show over the ocean. The block party runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and metered parking is free all weekend.

Sea Isle’s family-first fall kickoff spreads a seaside craft market and food court along the oceanfront Promenade, with free inflatables, face painting, and a photo booth for the kids on Saturday, then an Antique Auto Show and parade on Sunday. The most kid-friendly pick on the list.

Billed as the East Coast’s largest Irish festival, this one pulls well over 100,000 people to North Wildwood for three days of Celtic bands, step dancers, beer gardens, Irish food, and a Sunday parade down the avenue. A free celebration of Italian food, music, and culture in downtown Wildwood, with rows of vendors and live performances across the weekend. A lower-key, delicious counterpart to the Irish Fall Festival the weekend before — easy to pair the two into back-to-back Wildwood trips.

Wildwood Crest turns its bayfront into a maritime street festival along Sunset Lake (New Jersey Avenue, Rambler Road to Miami Avenue) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with craft and food vendors, children’s activities, and live music. In the evening the party moves to Centennial Park for more music, capped by a beachfront fireworks show around 9 p.m. Free, family-friendly, and a great pairing with Cape May Oktoberfest the same Saturday.

Carpenter Lane becomes a German promenade for the day, with beer vendors, food courts, authentic music, and artisan tables of crafts, antiques, and collectibles. It runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (rain date the following day) and is the perfect excuse to build a full fall weekend around Cape May’s food and wine scene.

Cape May leans all the way into its National Historic Landmark character with four days of house tours, trolley rides, tea, and period programming across town. Many street events are free; the signature tours are ticketed. The most atmospheric event on this list if you love architecture and autumn ambience.

Cape May is one of the best hawk-migration spots in North America, and Audubon’s fall festival makes the most of it with field trips, boat trips, live hawk banding, and demonstrations at Convention Hall.
